Blue Bay Lodge




The elegantly gabled Blue Bay Lodge is built only meters above the wide, sandy beaches of Saldanha Bay; a tranquil South African fishing village lying approximately 120 kilometers North of the legendarily beautiful Cape Town. Situated in the relaxing privacy of the resort, the hotel offers guests privacy, first class accommodation, and a wide range of services and activities.

The hotel has comfortable, three star 'en suite' rooms, broad terraces where drinks are served to guests as they relax watching whales and porpoises glide by, before being served delicious meals in its charming a la carte restaurant, the well known 'Blue Bay Café'.

Blue Bay Lodge is adjoined by a number of self-catering beach side cottages, all secure within the resort and each with beautiful panoramic views. Each cottage is tastefully furnished and fully equipped.

Another of the services is 'team building'. Company management teams or private groups get together to get to know each other better within Blue Bay Lodge and its natural environs. The gabled villa has been tastefully restored and now offers unique venues, along with luxury accommodation and a restaurant with a 180° view over the bay of Saldanha. In the Restaurant - situated only 20 meters from the beach, you will find the main venue for weddings and special functions. A wedding package for the restaurant also includes 16 double rooms for accommodation for the guests of the bride and groom. Seating a maximum of 110 people, the restaurant provides a special venue. Ideal for the wedding ceremony is the wooden deck in front of the Lodge, overlooking the ocean or the court yard surrounded by luscious gardens.

The Resort has a Hall also available for weddings. Seating a maximum of 200 people, the hall offers a wonderful wedding space but if the bride and groom are planning to dance, only 150 guests can be seated.

Big Blue Beach Lodge is situated in the quaint village of Beachview, Big Blue Beach Lodge is the perfect venue for a relaxed, tranquil getaway. With our warm personal service and hospitality you will immediately feel at home.

Only 25 minutes from Port Elizabeth, we are within easy reach of shopping centres, the casino, oceanarium, golf courses and the airport. This tranquil surrounding is ideal for the executive person to unwind after a hard days work.

Experience the full beach house effect in our uniquely decorated rooms - each boasting a stunning sea view. Luxury towels, guest soap, shampoo and body lotion are provided in the en-suite bathrooms. Additional amenities are provided upon request.

Rooms are equipped with DSTV (hotel package), tea / coffee facilities, hairdryers and clock radios. All our beds are equipped with electric blankets for those cold winter nights. Two of the rooms are equipped with microwaves and bar fridges.

Enjoy a full English Breakfast in our breakfast room while spotting dolphins and whales frolicking in the waves, or just soak up the magnificent sea view. Dinner is served by prior arrangement. This is prepared by the owner, Carl, who specializes in traditional South-African meals. Not something to be missed!


The conference venue can seat between 20 and 25 people fronting the big screen and stage. We also offer projector, sound equipment, TV and DVD player.
The venue is private, secluded and allows information to shared in an environment that is clean, professional and equipped with everything to ensure your conference runs smoothly and efficiently.

Big Blue's conference facility comes totally equipped to cater according to your needs and preferences.

The view from our conference room is truly breathtaking and peaceful. We are far enough removed from the city to escaoe the hustle and bustle, but close enough to make us the ideal conference venue.


A quick three minute walk will bring you to the beach where you can snorkel in the rock pools. Try catching a Musselcracker or Steenbras in this perfect fishing spot.

Just around the corner you will find Maitlands River Mouth with its wide expanse of beach, dominated by towering sand dunes - ideal for sandboarding.

View a wide variety of wildlife or hold a lion cub at the Seaview Lion Park, only 5 minutes away. We are also in close proximity to malaria free game reserves such as the Addo Elephant Park, Kragga Kamma Game Reserve and the world famous Shamwari Game reserve.
It is an ideal spot for paragliding with lots of hiking trails for the more adventuress. Take a day trip to Jeffreysbay (40 min drive) and visit the famous Billabong shop or whatch the local surfers do their tricks.

We cater for all functions, corporate or pleasure. Our superb venue with its magical sea view is perfect for Weddings, Birthday Parties, BBQ Buffets, Corporate Functions and Team Building Workshops. There is seating for up to 50 guests with a small dance space.

Le Bene Wedding Venue



Le Béni is a tranquil countryside venue situated on Sweet Cow Farm. It is less than 45 minute drive from the South and East Rand or the Midvaal Area.

The Farm is surrounded by the beautiful Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve Mountains next to the picturesque town of Heidelberg.

Our venue has a tranquil countryside, forest feel to it with a french farm inspired theme. It comes complete with lush green lawns under huge trees and even a gentle rippling water stream.
"Le Béni" is the French phrase for "the Blessed" and that is how our guests and ourselves experience this small piece of paradise. Because we are blessed with such beautiful surroundings, it is no surprise that we are the preferred venue for conferences, private functions as well as garden and morning weddings.

Built in 1952, the Indaba Hotel was first known as the “Little Rose Neath Hotel’. It had a warm country house feel and consisted of a mere 14 bedrooms, a small bar and restaurant. Situated in Fourways it was considered a day’s trip from Johannesburg and was famous for its Sunday lunches.

The Hotel was well known amongst the mink and manure community. Guests would arrive on horse back and hitch their horses under a tree whilst enjoying an ice cold beer or welcomed gin and tonic accompanied by a delicious luncheon.
